Notes
It was Don Wolfe who first circulated this from a guy whom was in his GD class at the U of O way back in the early 70's. The guy would not reveal whom he obtained it from. The reel is a 3 & 3.4 ips. reel.

Upgrade to 1967 gem
This is Grateful Dead at the dawn of the Summer of Love. This was also when some famous magazines did articles on the hippy movement and the selling out
...
and exploitation of the hippy was underway by the evil forces that have been around since the dawn of time. Musically this is beautiful. Most of 1967 was either not recorded or not in circulation. Golden Road is rare and this is the best sounding versions. You are hearing the influence of Jimi Hendrix already as this band sounds much different than they did 2 months prior. All around a great set from a time period where not much exists.
